Our unique design features an antiqued brass finish affect on all the iron parts. It is not actually antiqued brass, but a method developed to give the look. This chest has "rivets" on all iron stripping that give the appearance of a reinforced heavy duty construction though decorative in nature. We’ve given this a lighter color by staining it closer to the original wood. We've put the antiqued effect on all iron parts including rivets, stripping, brackets, hardware, and the lock/keys. The result is a truly stunning looking chest that seems like it has been weathered for years. Our chest is sturdily built and features solid wood construction made from exquisite mango wood and real iron decoration and hardware. The wood thickness is around 1/2" for sizes S-L, and 5/8" for the XL size. It includes a functional antique solid iron lock with skeleton keys that also has been custom finished to match the “brass” antique look. Great for storing or displaying keepsakes, jewelry, treasures, snacks, and other small items, or using for creative play for kids.
